![]() My original design was for 40 tons but I couldn't quite get that to work. I've put 25 odd tons (large Rockomax plus a bunch of monoprop tanks and enough odds and ends lashed onto the side to get the fuel tanks pointed and moving in the right direction) into Munar orbit. So if you're already hoisting multiple orange tanks into orbit in one go, you're probably up around the 100 ton mark. I find LOCKED while on eva to be the most helpfull since I can then rotate the camera to be exactly behind the kerbal as if I am looking over his shoulder and the 'world' revolves instead of the kerbal moving. The orange tank is (I think) equivalent to two of the 18 ton tanks, so presumably 36 tons. Cycle the view with the 'V' key until you find one that suits your need. I think the smaller diameter tanks are exactly half the mass of their Rockomax equivalents. how much does that damn thing weigh? Is there some app that can give better stats of your rocket status and not effect the general program?įrom memory, the fuel tank masses (full) are 18 tons, 9 tons and 4.5 tons for the three Rockomax diameter tanks. (those damn things are puny!)Īs I keep pushing my design skills to put more and more full orange tanks into orbit, I am beginning to wonder. However, having people on the KSP forums describe rockets as "100+ t to LKO" or "35 t to the Mun", then looking at their rockets and thinking to myself. I have been reluctant to go beyond the stock program due to wanting maximum compatibility for my rockets when a new release comes out. you have to manage all aspects of your space program autoLOC190759 Funds. Then you can jet him around using WASD and two other keys I cant remember because I. autoLOC112387 EVA Propellant autoLOC112486 Unnamed Kerbal. I don't know if a kerbal can survive a fall, but I can definitely tell you they will NOT survive having several giant tanks of fuel fall like dominoes in a fiery cataclysm. Hit R first, and that turns his little rocket pack on. That's because apparently while falling my kerbal hit a strut and caused a big fuel tank to shear off, taking most of the structure with it. The suit pack includes all of the base colours and all of the veteran suits with different colour. A recoloured suit pack to replace GregroxMun's Coloured Suits that no longer work correctly on KSP 1.5 and later, due to the EVA suit redesign. I tried once, and it resulted in a kerbal death. This mod is not known to work with the latest version of Kerbal Space Program. I'm assuming they'll just fall to their deaths without a huge ladder, but I wasn't sure if individual Kerbals have something like hit points, where a 200 foot drop will kill them, or if their deaths are only recorded if their capsules explode. So I just thought of this at work, and won't have an opportunity to try it out for a while, but has anyone ever tried to have a Kerbal pop the hatch on the launch pad, jump off the rocket, and survive the fall? I know there are other ways to go about it, but I'm considering the fun of mounting a rescue mission by using a 3-seat capsule, and having 2 of the Kerbals get out on the pad before launch. ![]()
